Why is one of my GFCI outlets discolored
One of my GFCI outlets is dead and discolored. All other gfci's are working. But, the room where this particular outlet is located has dead outlets also.
    What should I check?

Are you sure these are GFCI? Did you try to reset. What "room " is this in. Normally a GFCI is not load connected in a room unless it is a basement or kitchen. If this is a bed room or other room they could be AFCI outlets.

GFCI Outlets [ 1 Answers ]

I have a quick question and am hoping for an easy answer... I have just remodeled our kitchen and in doing so wanted to have two circuits at the countertop. I ran a 12/3 wire into the first box, tied the reds together and ran the black and neutral through the GFCI. At the second box, I tied...
