    Vanity light problem
Hello. I purchased a Hampton Bay 3-light vanity fixuture from Home Depot about 3 months ago. One of the lights is broken. I have tried numerous new bulbs and they all fail to work. The other two lights work well. What are possible causes for this problem? What are my options for repair? Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

    Welcome Mary

Did the light work when first installed?

The light socket could be bad.

The wiring to the socket may be bad.

The power line to that light may not be hooked up.

Start at power line. Check to see if wire from lights are wire nutted together. Make sure nuts are secure.

With a meter, check to see if power is going to base of light socket. If have power, socket needs to be replaced.

Try this. With the power off and the bad bulb removed, look in the socket and pull up the little tab in the bottom. Lightly screw in a good bulb. If it works, leave it alone. If it doesn't, you either have a bad socket or a disconnected wire behind the light.
