Use of J-Boxes When New Wiring House
Quick question - how does NEC 2008 view use of J-boxes? I have a smoke detector circuit I need to wire that will cover top/bottom floors of front of house and large extension at back of two story part. Attempting one continuous run would be challenging but having a centralized J-box to bring all three sections together and home run from there would be great.

NEC has no view of junction boxes, only that when needed, they need to be sized properly to contain the wires that will be inside, and need to be accessible.
