Are you certain both switches were working just fine before you started? You did not touch the wires on the switches, right, just the wires at the light fixture box.

I didn't touch the wires and both the outlet and the switch were working fine before I install the chandelier. This is how the wiring is set up. On the outlet there is a red wire connected on one side and two whites on the other side and the black ones are together with black tape. On the light switch the red wire is connected on the top black on the bottom and whites are together with black tape. I ran a new 14 gauge with black and whit only from the chandelier to the light switch. I connected it with black and white and the chandelier won't turn off.

<please don't yell. Changed case. Ahh - see you changed it>

Look at both switches, how many screws are on each switch and what colors are the screws. Do the switches say ON/OFF on one or both?

OK the outlet has four screws and the color is grey. The on/off switch has two grey screws and one small green one.

Does the switch actually have ON/OFF printed or stamped on the lever?
