    Thermostat wireing
    When moving my AC unit I cut the thermostat wires with side cutters ( not thinking ) did I cause a short ? And if so do I need to replace my thermostat ?

    It's unlikely you damaged the thermostat, but you may have shorted the control transformer. Turn off the power, reconnect everything and check the voltage. If there is no voltage, you blew the transformer.
