    Fan light turns itself on
    Hello:

I have a Hampton Bay Reddington III fan/light with a remote control. The fan
Has been in use for three years and recently has started turning itself on. It
Turns itself on in the middle of the night and startles the heck out of me. I
Checked the battery which was fully charged, but put in a new battery anyway.
    The problem still exists.

Do I need a new remote control? What else should I check?

    Thanks

Remove the battery at night, if it comes on, you know the transmitter remote is not likely malfunctioning? Maybe. Change Frequencies may help. Could have neighbor on your frequency.
