Are connected wires that are unable to fit in the ceiling box OK?
I just installed a ceiling fan where a light fixture formally was. After connecting the wires, there was not enough room to push the wires back up into the box. I covered them with the fan casing. Is this safe?

With a remote control unit, many of the wires are outside the ceiling box. Make sure the main power leads are in the ceiling box.
