    Single phase vs 3 phase
    I am putting in a 2hp goulds well pump. Would single phase be fine for this?

    If you only have single phase available, then you should stay with 1 phase.

    If you have three phase available, you can use either a 1 or 3 phase motor, preferably 3phase.
