    What are the code requirements for installing a 50amp 220 recept in a kitchen?
    i.e.. Does it have to be flush mount in a metal box 12in to bottom of box or can it be surface mount with a plastic recept and run in pvc from the floor to the surface mount recept

    Curious though, where did you get the "flush mount in a metal box 12in to bottom" idea? Are you under the impression that it is some kind of code?
