    Huntington Bay fan remote controler
I have a Huntington Bay fan with factory installed remote control. It was working till Yesterday. Now when I try to turn on the fan, it works only as long as I keep the remote button pressed. My question is: Is there anything that I can do to make it work normally? If I cannot make it work - Can I replace the remote and the controller or do I need to replace the fan?

Ceilingfanrepair will likely read this later today. I think he knows this issue better than I do but I think you will be in the market for a new remote and receiver. The fan should be fine and you old remote is not worth trying to repair.

That is a very odd problem, however I think it is more likely caused by the remote than the receiver. I cannot say for certain. Try replacing the remote, and if that doesn't solve it, replace the receiver.

The remote control will only take the lights from off to bright. It appears it goes through the cycle. I changed the battery and it did not correct it.
