5 Wire Ceiling Fan Capacitor
I have an old cast iron ceiling fan that has a bad "wound wire" type capacitor in it. I would like to replace it with a new CBB61 type capacitor (that I got out of another fan.)
The fan motor has 2 wires that, when connected, run the motor. The capacitor has 5 wires and a diagram: Orange Wire----| |---6uF------Yellow Wire |-----|---4.5uF----Purple Wire Orange Wire----| |---3.75uf---Red Wire 250V. AC 50/60Hz Max Temp 70 degrees C Any information on which wires should be connected to the fan wires would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul |
