    Hampton bay reverse switch
I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with a faulty reverse switch. What I'd like to do is take the switch out and bypass the switch instead of replacing it. The switch is a six contact DPDT. Grey and white are the contacts in the center. Pink and Yellow are the contact at the bottom, and there are pink and yellow jumpers (reversed) to the top two contatcs. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Why not just replace the switch? It's cheap and easier.

Otherwise, white connects to pink and grey to yellow for one direction, white to yellow and grey to pink for the other.

I did have a replacement switch, but didn't need to install it - I rewired it and got it to work in the way I wanted! Thanks for your help. Mike
