    Inspecting my DIY basement job
    I am a DIY basement finisher. Do I "have" to get an inspection and if so at what point of the process?

    Well you get the building permit first and depending on what is being done, plumbing, electric and more has to be inspection before they are covered

    I was told by my builder that my project would fall under his permit. Maybe I should check on that! The basement is now framed and ready for the electric to be run.
