The NEC allows you to add the ratings of one cooktop and up to two wall mounted ovens and treat it as a single range provided they are all on the same circuit and in the same room. Using Table 220.55 of the NEC the circuit for a 15kw range would need to be rated for 8kw with 5% added for each kw over 12 that your setup actually is.
About 9.26kw in this case. 9260w divided by 240v equals about 39 amps. Take into account the circuit needing to be sized at 125% since this is considered a continuous load and you come up with 48.75 amps. The next breaker size up is 50A which is what you have. |
