This will require a two wire cable with ground installed from the existing light to the new switch location. Ceilings are difficult even for pros to fish esp if there is no attic above the room. Get back with details of the type of construction, is there an attic above, and what are your skills, such as drilling pulling cables, cutting wall finishes to install a box,and splicing wires.

A simple solution that needs no wires between the light and switch is using X-10 devices, a transmitter and a receiver, but the switch still needs 120 volt power. Do a search for X-10 and see if this is something that could help you.
