    Replace Florescant Pull Chain fixture
I wish to replace a florescant fixture that has a pull chain with a more modern track light fixture. Unless I have to I don't really wish to put an on off switch into the wall. Do I have any options? Thank you.

I can't think of a realistic option for you. Technically you can wire your own switch to the track lighting, but you'd be "jerry rigging" it.

Do you want to avoid a wall switch because of the difficulty of stringing wire to it? If so, you can do a wall switch easily with Wiremold - or other brand name of surface mounted electrical housings - which are common at Lowes/Home Depot/Sears Hardware.

    Hope this helps!

    Google - wireless light switch.

You should find a remote light switch that has a transmiter that connects to the light fixture without any wire to run from the switch or the fixture.
