Remote control and light switch wiring
    Dear Sirs:
I have a Harbor Breeze 69 in remote ceiling fan . The remote works the fan only but you cannot turn the fan from the light switch at all and then stumbling in the room at night and try to find the remote control is a joke. This fan has two blades that look like air plane blades the number on the fan is item # 77461 We purchase:confused:d the house and this house is only 3 yrs old but we can't find any information on the fan we have the wiring diagram but it says nothing about the light wall switch itself. Could the fan be wired incorrectly? The settingts are 1 2 3 4 but we want to operate the fan without using the remote also when you turn off the light switch it turns the fan off only but you cannot turn the fan on again by the wall switch you have to use the remote again and within a few hours if we leave the battery in the remote it totally goes dead within hours what gives. Any sugestions??

Nope, this is the way it is made. Buy a fan without a remote.
