I ran 12/3 romex instead of 12/2, is it a code issue if I use it but not the red? Thx
I mistakenly ran 12/3 Romex when I needed 12/2. Does it violate code if I use the 12/3 (B/W/G) but ignore the red?

    Thanks. Inspection tomorrow!

Nope. Cap off the red at both ends. As long as it is properly terminated, the inspector will understand. It also allows you future expansion options.
