    Programing Rth230b Thermostat
I have had my Honeywell RTH230B thermostat professionally installed. The installer left me with "you can program this when you have the time." We experienced a heat wave and I can't blame him since he was inundated with service calls. I have the 4 page Installation and User Guide in both English and Spanish. Unfortunately, Sec 5, dealing with programming has me stymied. All I want to do is to get the a/c setting to work correctly. Is there a way that I can clear all the scheduling and just have the a/c work from the thermostat, yet keep the heat energy-saving schedule? If anyone can clarify this I'd greatly appreciate a response. Thank you:confused:

I have the instructions for this stat, and connot find any method to reset the unit.

Does appear that the heat and cool modes have built in default time settings that you can add to but cannot change. And the two modes are tied to these time settings and cannot have the heat be run be the time settings and the cool to ignore the time settings. All you can do is run the cool in manual. This will ignore the time settings and run on temp settings.

Have you tried to call Honeywell? Their tech support number is listed on the instructions. This may help you. I do know their website is absolutely useless.

I inherited a Honeywell RTH230B in my new house, and do not have the manual that came with it. The thermostat worked fine with our heat last winter, but now the LCD is showing nothing. I've changed the batteries but no dice. I would like to figure this out before the winter season rolls into the Northeast.

Can anyone point me to a site that has the manual available? Honeywell's site stinks and they don't even have the RTH230B listed anywhere that I can see.

    Thanks.
