New light will not turn off
I have replaced a pendant light in a bedroom with a 4 spotlight set the wiring was
    3 red -live
    2 black neutral
Single black with red sleeve terminated on its own with no wires coming from the terminus
    Earth

I have connected the wires as follows

3 red to the live to light
2 black to the neutral to light
    Earth to earth
And terminated the single black/red to a spare in the terminal block

Turned on the breaker , light came on, but will not turn off should the single black be connected in the new light?

One Switch two lights - the second light furthest away from light won't turn off [ 4 Answers ]

One Switch two lights - the second light furthest away from light won't turn off but the first one does Worked until I swopped the roses. Suspect that didn't do something right when putting them back. Up to now - left bulb out but need to get it to work now.
