To calculate power in watts, multiply the voltage times amps, so 120 volts at 15 amps will be 1800 watts.
Why the question if I may ask? Just a general question or do you have a specific reason? Reason I ask is because different types of fuses have different characteristics, some fuses open exactly at 15 amp, some allow a bit more current to flow for a short time.

In addition, that would be 12 amps, for the mathematically impaired.
Edit: After rereading, I see I didn't provide answer? OOPS

Strat, what are you trying to tell anagno?
Did you forget something?
You will only confuse anagno. He/she asked what is the max watts, did not ask about the 80% rule of continuous load.
When editing you can add what you may have missed. Also please explain the answer provided.

I should have said, I miss read, "Maximum load in watts before fuse will blow."
I read maximum watts to use on 15 amp circuit.
You answered his question.
I would have preferred to delete my answer all together. Won't always allow to remove.
OOPS again.

OK now I understand, just want to be clear to the questioners. I can edit your answer anytime, I would prefer you do it yourself when you feel the need. Ask in Forum Help to see how to delete any answer you want, I have a bit different screen than you.
