Light dimming problem with Hampton Bay fan
I recently installed a Hampton Bay ceiling fan which has a remote. When sleeping we run the fan without the light. My problem is that when all wall switches are on, but the light is turned off with the remote, the light will sometimes come on in the middle of the night. Also, when you turn the light on with the remote or the wall switch, the light will often be dim at first and then will flicker after a few minutes and increase to full intensity. My primary concern is that I may have wired it incorrectly (there were no instructions included with the new fan) and that I am at risk of fire. If there is no problem with the installation (and it's a manufacturer malfunction), I may choose to live with it rather than replacing with a different fan. Thanks.

First, try changing the frequency of the fan and remote. If that doesn't solve the problem report back.
