    Joining Outdoor Light Strings
I have two American Lighting LS-MS-24-48-BK Commercial Grade Light Strings, Medium Base Suspended, 48 feet. I would like to join these to create a single light string. Is this advisable given the wire spec and total run with 48 lamps?

Powered by plugging into standard outdoor outlet. Each string has 24 lamps so total run is 48 x 11W = 528W

    Wire Spec - 16AWG X 2C SPT-2
    Lamps - 11W Incandescent (11S14-CL)
