    I installed a remote control ceiling fan I have power going out but not going in fan
    I installed ceiling fan remote control I have power coming out but not going in fan will not work could I have a bad receiver

    Lets go over what was done. You opened the canopy and connected the receiver black, white and green to the wires coming to the box. Black is hot, white is neutral and green or bare is ground. You can confirm 120 vac between black and white, good so far? Using the remote you should get 120 vac out of the other side of the receiver, black and white show 120, yes or no? Are you sure every dip switch in the transmitter and receiver are set exactly the same?
