    Illuminated ight switches
I have been trying to figure out how much electricity is used by the rocker illuminted light switch? We have around 20 of them in our home and I just can't believe they are real efficient.

    Thanks

The lamps used in illuminated switches are so low in power draw I cannot find anyone that publishes the wattage of these lamps.

Even if each was 1 watt, that is 20 watts total, running at 24/7 all year at $0.10 per KWH, the cost to operate would be $17.52 per year.

And I am sure the wattage is much less than a watt each.

Your cable box, TV's, alarm clocks, etc, anything else plugged in and using power in stand-by costs more to run than these pilot lights.
