    Hunter fan troubleshooting
I just installed a Hunter Fan (I am a novice at wiring) in the place of a single light, the lights work, but the fan won't turn on.
Am I missing something on power requirements or is there wiring that is not done right?
    Thanks

How many wires in the ceiling box and how did you connect them? Sounds like you missed wire.

    Green, connected to green
    White, connected to white
Black, connected to black/white from fan (this was as per the instructions that indicated a single switch should be connected to black/white as opposed to black)

Still baffled that the lights work, but not the fan?

    Thank you!

Make sure the fan switch is set for up or down, not in the middle. As a test, I would try the black to black and see what happens. Some fans have black for fan and blue for lights. Pull switch works OK?
