How to re connect a DPST Rocker Switch
Hello,
I'd like advice please on how to reconnect a new DPST rocker switch, which is the "on-off" switch for my home steam sauna unit. It is 15A and 240v.
When I removed the broken switch, which was an illuminated switch, I did not make a note of where each of the 4 wires, Blue, Brown, White and Black, were connected to the switch (doughnut I know).
Each wire connects via spade connections to the 4 metal prongs on the switch. I can see that the new terminals are numbered 1a and 1b on the right side of the switch and 2a and 2b on the left side.
So in the Off 'O' position the terminals at the Top of the switch are 2a (top left side) and 1a (top right side) with 2b (bottom left terminal) and 1b (bottom right terminal).
Each of the metal prongs on the switch are separated by a thin piece of plastic.
The new switch, which is not illuminated, has just two operating positions 'On' (I) and 'Off' (O).
Thanks in Advance

I wouldn't even begin to advise you without seeing a wiring diagram. Every brand is different, so the color code and terminal markings mean nothing.
What is the make and model of this unit?

Well, I quite quickly found this site: Brett Aqualine Equipment Wiring Diagrams
Where I found this:
Troubleshooting Guides and Miscellaneous Information:
NOTICE: The following information is intended for use by qualified service technicians only! This information is not intended for use by homeowners or others not experienced in troubleshooting and repair of pool, spa, and hot tub electrical systems.
Other than that I can't find any wiring diagrams anywhere. Especially for UK models.
