How do I repIace lightbulb for a Hampton Bay 54-Inch Windward II 55296 ceiling fan?
The fan has a dome cover. There are three "tiers" - the lower dome, center fan blades, and top casing. When I try to turn the lower dome to remove it, the lower and top casing rotate and the dome does not drop out (as an earlier answer suggested it might). Is there something I am missing?

I broke my bulb on a hampton fan (unfortunately - I rested the unit on the bulb and it shattered). I purchased a replacement from King Of Fans (http://www.kingoffans.com). At the time (a few years ago) it was the only place I could find to help me.

Posting a pic of the light would help more than anything.

OK, I found it easliy enough.

The glass should twist off in a CCW rotation. It will only take a fraction of a turn for it to come down.

Replacing the lower light on a Hampton Bay Windward III ceiling fan [ 3 Answers ]

At least that's what I think I have. I have the remote instructions, but seem to have lost the fan instructions. It's the white fan with the Gossamer Wind blades. The lower fluorescent light has become intermittent. Sometimes it will turn on, sometimes it won't. Less frequently, it goes out...

What lightbulb for my Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan? [ 5 Answers ]

I (stupidly) threw away the old lightbulbs for a ceiling fan I hadn't been using. Now, I want to use it again, but don't know what size bulb to purchase. It is a Hampton Bay fan with 3 lights, about 40 inches. I believe the model is E307185... or AY-PE17? That's what's written inside the light...

Hampton Bay Windward II ceiling fan wobble [ 1 Answers ]

I have a Hampton Bay Gossamer Windward II 54" ceiling fan. I am having trouble with wobble. I used a blade balance kit, but it really didn't help much. However, I was wondering if I am having trouble because it is a vaulted ceiling and the fan is about 12" from the ceiling at the low point and...

Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan [ 4 Answers ]

My fan was working fine last winter. When I returned from the South, the remote would not cause the fan or light to operate. I replaced the batteries in the remote to no avail. My guess would be either the receiver or the transmitter has failed. But I don't know how to check it. Any ideas?

Mounting fan (Hampton Bay Windward II) on sloped ceiling [ 6 Answers ]

I'm having an electrician install this fan in my living room with a sloped ceiling (slopes from 1st floor to second - 45 degrees?). The electrician (who has NOT read the instructions ;) ) believes I need a different canopy cover, one with an elongated opening, due to the slope of my ceiling. From...
