Harbour Breeze fan remote control problem
I was able to prove that my remote control problem is inside the fan, not the remote itself. I reset the dip switches and tried in on an identical fan and the remote works.

I assume the problem is the transmitter inside the fan. Is this a customer replaceable part? If yes, where can I buy it? Can someone describe what this part might look like on a harbour breeze fan? Lastly, is there a Internet site that might have a sketch of what the inside of the fan looks like and what is what?

It is a replaceable part, easier if it's located inside the ceiling canopy. Does the fan have pullchains or any additional switches (that might indicate the remote kit was added).

Otherwise, contact Harbor Breeze (Litex) for replacement parts.

There is no pull chain. The fan came from the factory with a remote capability. I assume the receiver module was built-in at the factory. Do you have any idea what a receiver module might look like?

Also, I saw a web site that mentioned the receiver module might be inside the canopy.
It the canopy the part of fan that is ABOVE the fan housing and snug up against the ceiling?

Yes, but if the remtoe was not an aftermarket kit, it is LESS likely the receiver will be in the canopy, and more likely it will be in the motor housing or switch housing.

It will basically look like a circuit board with a lot of wires going to it. It might be in a case.
