    Harbour Breeze Celing Fan wiring
    Hi there
I bought a fan with a remote. My electrician wired in a double switch with a red wire, along with the black and white and ground.
Unfortunately the remote box wiring only has a black and white out so I don't know how to wire the red lead.
I have wired it to the blue wiring on the fan (the lighting wire) before the remote but I cannot operate the fan without turning on the light now.
    Any thoughts.
    Many thanks

Just cap off the red lead, since your fan has a remote you can only use one switch.

Harbour Breeze fan remote control problem [ 3 Answers ]

I was able to prove that my remote control problem is inside the fan, not the remote itself. I reset the dip switches and tried in on an identical fan and the remote works. I assume the problem is the transmitter inside the fan. Is this a customer replaceable part? If yes, where can I buy it?...
