    Harbor Breeze C/Fan remote trouble
I have recently installed three Harbor Breeze ceiling fans (Grand Lodge) and one of the fans mysteriously turns itself on. The fans are installed under a patio cover with about 20' separating each fan. My client wanted all three fans operated with one remote so the receivers/remotes are all using the same jumper settings. One of the fans comes on by itself, at various times, after being shut off. The remote works fine for all of the fans and I have no problem turning the fan off once it comes on. I decided to change the receiver/jumper setting for the one fan but after doing that... the fan would not respond to the new setting but STILL responds to the original remote with the original setting regardless of the fact that the receiver jumpers are not set at the original configuration!! It's spooky...

Anybody out there have any suggestions?

If changing the frequency does not work I would take the fan back and see if you have better luck with a new fan. You can also try shielding the receiver to make it less sensitive. There really aren't many options with remotes.
