Harbor Breeze 69" Ceiling Fan Wiring
I just purchased a Harbor Breeze 69" (twin blades) ceiling fan and am having problems with the wiring.

I have black, red, white, and green from the ceiling box and black, white, and blue to the ceiling fan. The remote transmitter has black and white on the inbound side and black, white, and blue on the outbound side.

The light is a halogen bulb.

There was a ceiling fan/light previously installed by an electrician and black/black, white/white, and red/blue was the way it was hooked up.

There are two wall switches - one for the fan and one for the light.

I tried the same wiring arrangement and the fan works but not the light.

How should I wire it up?

And do I have to use the transmitter/remote to make this work?

    Thanks

You can try without the remote, I'm not sure if it will work:

    Black-black, blue-red, white-white.

If that doesn't work, you may have to use the remote:

Black, white, blue, to black, white, blue on the transmitter

Black and white on the other side of the transmitter to black and white in the ceiling, cap off the red.

We have the AirSpan 69" fan and the fans come lose after running then a while and tilt and the blade get stuck against the support arm. Tried Many times to tightening the flat washer and the same problem occurs. Is there a way to fix this. The fan is useless and could be dangerous. Thanks for you time.

I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with a remote only. I wired it up and it works fine but on occasions it seems to turn the light on by itself or tuen the fan off. Thus only happens when the fan is running. If it is on at night, the light sometimes turns itself on. Any ideas on why? Kevin

The wires from the fixture are white, blue and black. The wires from my ceiling are white, black and copper. I connected the white with white, black and blue to black and the copper to ground. The fan worked fine but when I put bulbs into the light fixture they blew out. Why would this happen?
