    Hampton Fan Problem
I have a Hampton Carousel II Ceiling Fan - I just completed the installation and turn it on and it looks like everything is working properly, fan and lights. But then the motor and light fixture got extremely hot, too hot.

Could this be a ground issue. What I did is connect the green wire from the motor to the green wire on the ceiling brace. I did not connect anything to the electrical box in the ceiling of the room.

    Thanks for your help.

Are you running the fan on high? Inexpensive fan motors do get hot. If you think it is an issue exchange the fan.
