    Hampton Bay Wireless Remote Installation
I've just installed a Hampton Bay Reddington IV ceiling fan, and I'm not sure about the directions to install the wireless remote. The remote has five wires coming out of it. 2 white (AC IN N, MOTOR N), 2 black (AC IN L, MOTOR L) and 1 blue (FOR LIGHT). However, I've only got 3 wires coming out of my ceiling box (I'm replacing a fan that had no remote), white, black and blue.

With only those wires, it would seem that the two white wires and two black wires for the receiver would have to be touching? I've tried that, and it doesn't work... even though it doesn't affect the operation of the fan.

I've checked the dip switches, and the code setting matches my remote, and I've also made sure that the fan's manual settings are how they should be as listed in the manual. Please help... I hate using the chains :(
