My hampton bay fan w/remote control doesn't work
Can you tell me why my hampton bay fan w/remote has stopped working? We had them installed 2 years ago by an electrician. They worked until now. The remote works, the red light comes on. We can't find our owners manual and wondering where we can get one. Thanks to anyone who can help

Have you by chanced tripped a breaker? That would throw a wrench in your operation.

    Just something to check.

We checked breaker... we did have a couple of lighting storms earlier this spring and we lost power could this have blown the receiver on the fan?

Check the frequency of the remote and receiver and make sure they still match. Try a different matching set to be safe. Check to make sure there is still power at the receiver. If all these things check out, you may need to replace the receiver.

In the ceiling canopy where it mounts.

You can remove the receiver and wire the fan without it and the fan will work from the pullchains.
