Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Reverse Question
I have one of those hampton bay fans that have palm leaves for the blades. It is s remote controlled fan, but the control has no reverse.

If I buy a new remote that contains a reverse button, (as well as install the new 'controller' into the hub above the fan motor), will the fan reverse?

Or are certain fans wired only for one way only?

And how can I find out if this fan is one way only..

Is there a reverse button anywhere on the fan body? If so you will NOT be able to reverse the fan from a remote.

Is the remote without reverse the remote that originally came with the fan? If so, it probably will NOT be able to be reversed from the remote (and probably WILL have the reverse control somewhere on the fan body).

If not, try a remote with reverse. It may work.
