    Hampton bay ceiling fan canopy
I am trying to replace a ceiling fan in one of my bedrooms. The problem is I am trying to replace a Hampton Bay ceiling fan and I cannot get the canopy down. There are no exposed screws on the canopy. There is a decorative ring around the top of the canopy that doesn't seem to be attached to the canopy itself. However, I can't get the decorative ring down either. Any suggestions?

If it's not 'clicked', then it's screwed. Try to undo it by unscrewing it (take it with both hands, turn left).
These Hampton ceiling things are a real pain. I think that they apport about 20% of the questions here. Never buy that stuff again.
Nah, maybe our chemical expert (Labman) has a better idea.

Hampton Bay fan removal - can't remove the canopy ring [ 2 Answers ]

I see lots of questions about removing the canopy ring. Most say to turn the ring counterclockwise to remove. When I do that, it only loosens slightly, but won't remove. I've tried twisting, pushing up/down, still it only loosens slightly. Any suggestions?

Someone was asking about a larger replacement canopy for their ceiling fan [ 2 Answers ]

Because the remote receiver wouldn't fit inside their fan's canopy? I told them that most canopies are the same size including the replacements, which is true. However I just spotted this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6038590223 Which is a receiver that mounts OUTSIDE...

Hampton ceiling fan [ 2 Answers ]

Hi. Hampton ceiling fan/lights. Sometimes the lights begin to flicker and go out for a few seconds, then come back on. Also, the fan doesn't work after about 4 years of operation. When the fan is turned on by the remote, I simply get a humming noise. I'm not real handy electrically. I took things...

Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan [ 1 Answers ]

I have a Hampton Bay “Bali” Ceiling Fan. It has been installed and working for about 2 years. It only works with a remote. It has a top “night” light. A bottom “bright” light and 3 speed fan. The other night when I tried to turn off the bright light I heard a pop. When I took the globe off...
