Gcfi for 240 volts

I have installed a piece of equipment that requires a GFCI. It is 240 volts, but doesn't have a neutral. The GFCI breaker I have has a line 1 and line 2, a neutral to the panel and a neutral to the load. Would it operate properly without a neutral to the load?

I am installing a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. So my question is instead of a gfci switch in the bathroom for the tub can I just put the circuit on a gfci breaker? Curtis

Our 2 year old hot tub has been out of commission for a week. The gcfi on our dedicated hot tub line is switching off each time it starts a heat cycle. It will run for 5 minutes then stop.
