    Floodlight keeps tripping circuit breaker
I recently had my house pressure washed and now my floodlight no longer works, and it keeps tripping the circuit breaker. Is this something I can fix on my own or should I call the electrician? It's been over a month so everything has had time to dry/air out. I have taken the bulbs and floodlight assembly off the house for now.

Is that a GFCI breaker? If you have taken everything off the house and caped the wires, the breaker should not trip. Was that the only thing on that breaker, and did it happen when the house was pressure washed or at ABOUT the same time?

Sorry... don't know what a GFCI breaker is?

I capped the wires and it still trips. There are a few other things on that breaker (i.e. hallway light, porch light, and foyer light). The floodlights went out after the house was pressure washed. It was working fine before that.

I would think that since you disconnected the floodlight the problem lies elsewhere. You probably need to check all the fixtures on that circuit.
