Fan has power but blades won't rotate
I have a hunter fan. Lights work fine. When I turn on the fan, I can feel power in the fan, but blades don't turn. I can spin the blades with my hand and they spin freely, but the motor does not engage. There is no drag, grinding or noise from the fan. It is about 6 years old.

    Lubrication?

    What do I do??

You may try bringing it to a motor shop, the starting circuit, windings, or capacitor has failed and needs to be replaced or repaired. There is not much you can do yourself.

May be too costly to repair, may need a new fan unit.

If I got a simarly sized fan, could the existing fan blades be painted and installed on the new fan? Daughter's room and she is in a retro phase...

    THANK YOU!
