    Electrical Socket Problem
    In a previous question I forgot to say that when I have to change the 25 W bulb in my china cabinet, the bulb gets stuck in the socket; one half stays inside; one half breaks off.
    These are small reflector bulbs;
    does the size of the base have any bearing on how often they go out? some are short neck and some are standard base.

    Light bulbs have rated lifetimes that are typically marked on the package. Of course vibration and other environmental factors will have some effect.
    LED lamps, light bulbs, etc. have much longer life expectancy, so why not try one?
