    Electrical help
I have a fan light combination to install. Removed old one with same wiring scheme. Have power source coming from ceiling. Have two single wires coming from the switch. Have a black blue and white wire coming from fan.
I can't get it to work properly. Get fan... no light. Get light... no fan. Help

    All assistance is given here.

If I understand correctly, you have a two wire power cable and you have a two wire switch loop in the ceiling box.
Black of the power cable should be connected to the white of the switch loop.

Connect the black from the fan to the black/white connection. Connect the blue from light kit to the black from the switch. Coinnect the white to the white of power cable.

Switch will control light. Pull chain will control the fan.
