Connecting ceiling fan and light to wall switch
The wall switch for my ceiling fan recently broke (it wouldn't change the speed of the fan anymore), so I bought a new one.
The fan also has a light. The new wall switch instructions simply say to connect the blue wire to the fan red to the light, black to the HOT. Then the diagram shows a neutral wire also leading from the light. Problem is when I took off the old wall switch, I am left with nothing like what the instructions say. Out of my wall I have two bunches of wires. One with a red (which was never connected to anything), a black a white and a ground.
The other bunch has a black, white and ground. The two white wires were already connected together as were the ground wires.
How do I make this work?

The old switch is a Casablanca. It has Two Blacks, two Black/whites and a blue. The blue and one of the black/white wires are connected.

Send me a picture of the switch. Most Casablanca fans and wall switches are not compatible with other wall switches.
