    Either there is a short circuit or the breaker may be defective. Does it kick off as soon as you switch it to "On", or is the handle just loose?

    Remove wire from breaker. If breaker does not reset by turning all the way off and back on. Replace.

    Very rare that breakers go bad--but possible!
