Ceiling fans on the same frequency
    Hello All,

I recently bought a house and have come across a problem. There are 2 ceiling fans in the house that seem to be on the same frequency. The first is on the bottom floor and the other is in an upstairs loft. The bottom floor fan is attached to a very high ceiling and has a hand held remote. The loft fan has a wall mounted remote. Right now, when either fan is turned on or off, it does the same with the other fan. This is true for the lights attached to the fan as well. Any ideas on how I can rectify this situation?

I believe both fans are the same brand, Hampton Bay.

If you need any additional info, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance

For whatever reason, the DIP. Switches are set the same. Access whatever one is easiest to get to, drop the ceiling canopy and pull the receiver out.change the code to another setting and put it back. Now, get the transmitter for that unit and put the same code on it. Try the fan and it should work.
