Ceiling Fan turns itself off after a few hours use
I have ceiling fans in my home that I bought several years ago. They are all working fine except one in particular (which is operated on a remote control for speed and lighting adjustment) that turns itself off after a few hours of use. I want to keep it on overnite for my dog who sleeps in this room and every morning it is off again. This has been happening consistently all week now.

Can anyone identify what the problem could be. I don't know what brand ceiling fan it is since I threw away the boxes and I don't see the brand name on the unit.

    Please advise.

    Thanks so much,

    SHeryl Felice

Turn fan on, and remove batteries, to see if remote is intermittent. Will help determine
    Remote or receiver.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. It is not the remote control unit, that works fine and the batteries are good. What do you think the problem can be if it applies to the unit itself? Please advise. Is it fixable or do you suggest a new unit? Awaiting your reply.

    Kind Regards, Sheryl

Before you replace, Change code in remote and transmitter, Neighbor may have similar unit and both on same code.
