Have Monte Carlo ceiling fan and it will only run in low speed. The remote is wall- mounted hard wired. Used to work at other speeds but now only runs on low even when you push the medium or high button.

Does you fan have a pull chain on it? If it does, place the fan in high speed with the chain and leave it there. Then use the remote to vary the speed.

I just removed one ceiling fan w/light and replaced it with another. The new ceiling fan will not work but the attached light kit does work. They use the same power source, I don't understand what the trouble could be. The fan is a brand new lower end Hunter. Thanks for any ideas.
