    Ceiling fan switch replacement
I'm trying to replace the pull chain switch (5-8 wire) in my ceiling fan. The original switch is an E70469 and I was directed to use an 033906 as a direct replacement. Are these the same switch? I made the replacement and I only have one 'slow' speed with nothing out of the other positions. Can you help? Thanks

The fan has no brand name but does say Ceiling Fan E77491 Model 5270 Made in Taiwan ROC on the little tag on the motor. I have the original instructions that came with the fan but there is no brand name mentioned anywhere. Thanks for you help
