    Ceiling fan remote replacement
    I have a Hunter brand ceiling fan, the remote stopped working. I have replaced it with a Hampton Bay brand remote than is not working. Should I remove this and replace it with a Universal remote or a Hunter Brand remote or..

    You have to match the frequency of the remote to that of the receiver. But it was probably the receiver that failed.
