Ceiling fan remote control wiring diagram?
I am presently installing a ceiling fan with a remote control unit. The remote has a black and white wire on the top of it that is wired to the main black and white in the ceiling box. Now the fan intself has a black, blue and white wire along with a grounding green. I wired the green directly to ground. The bottom of the remote now has 3 wires coming out of it. The instructions say to connect its white to the white from the ceiling fan, the black to the black of the ceiling fan and the blue to the blue of the ceiling fan. I did all this. Thinking now that once the assembly of blades etc. was complete the unit should now work. NADA!! The 3 speeds of the fan function perfectly, however, when I press the light switch on the remote - all I get is a faint mini glow in the filaments of the bulbs. It turns on and off properly but there really is no proper LIGHTS ON! Is there anything you can tell me to get the system functioning properly? The same thing happens on two fans installed in two different rooms.

Check operating instructions. Sounds like the remote also acts as a dimmer for the lights.
